BOOYA, SUCKAS!!

I made it!
365 photos - one for every day of 2010. {Although I mislabeled them at some point, so the little counter was off.  Nice, Stace.  But, I audited. They're all there.}
Thank you to our friends and family who have been so loving and supportive and who have tolerated my near constant photo snapping this year.
I've been all up in your business, and nobody punched me...and for this I am grateful.
I'm thinking about another blog for 2011..if I do it, I'll post the new URL here sometime next week.
I'm excited for 2011. It's gunna be a good year. (:

Three Men and A...Big Kid

Today, my family helped us put together a new bedroom for The Boy!
He's finally outgrown his little bed, and it's time for big kid stuff.
{Odds that I wept like a baby while dismantling his cute little toddler bed: High}
My parents gave him the CUTEST bedroom set, and my brothers acted as my own personal day laborers and helped us with everything.
My brothers are THE BEST! They picked up the bed set, brought it to our house and helped The Bourne Supremacy assemble it.
My sweet little boy is in heaven.
He feels like such a big kid... He even picked out his own BYU bedding.
Anyhow, I think the look on The Boy's face pretty much sums up how he feels about his new room....
Thanks for everything, Fam. Loff Thees.

The bedding he chose ...

Insomnia...

It's late.
I can't sleep.
He can't sleep.
So we made cookies.
And watched a movie
And giggled lots
And it was awesome.

Just say "Copies". Why do you have to drag cats into this?

I'm the head of the party planning committee at work.
I also work in accounting and I like cats.
Yes, I am brunette Angela. If only TBS had a beet farm and a cousin named Mose...

Party planning is one of my favorite things about my job! I've spent the last 48 hours working hard on my company's Christmas luncheon...I snapped this while I was there setting up the decorations...

Frosty The Snowman

This week, Aunt Cat sent The Boy a cute Christmas card that plays music.
Specifically, the song Frosty The Snowman.
He absolutely loves it and has played with it constantly ...unrelentingly ...ceaselessly ...every day this week.
I've invested in the largest size Tylenol bottle Costco has to offer.
He's played with it so much that he finally wore it out and this morning, it broke.
He was sad and wanted to know what happened to it...so I pulled apart the card so he could see the little machiney-thing inside.
The phone rang and I ran into the other room to get it, and when I returned to his room, I could hear the Frosty The Snowman song playing.
My initial thought was "son of a..."  and  then I realized that HE HAD FIXED IT.
He had sat there and played with the little machine parts until he could make the song play.
Smart little monkey.

Dear Global Warming,

Thank you for the unseasonably warm weather.
Today we cleaned out the garage and played in the yard...and I rode my bike around the neighborhood.
In Utah.
In mid-December.
Didn't even need a coat.
I feel bad for the polar bears and whatever, but if we could keep this up through April, that would be just...just...great.
Sincerely,
The Happiest Kid In The Universe

Operation Gnome Mercy: Successful

My brothers and I were talking this week and we realized that our sister, Steb, has somehow made it through this prank war unscathed. The freaking crap?!
So, El Jefe and Beans and I went a-gnoming.
The boys left about 17 gnomes in my yard a few months ago. Unfortunately, some have been broken {Used for target practice, dragged behind cars...the Native-American-Tribal-Chief Gnome broke yesterday. He was my favorite and it made me sad. But I'm fairly certain his spirit now possesses the body of a neighborhood cat, although I cannot prove it.}
Where was I? Oh, yes. The gnoming.
The boys had collected several more, so we had almost 30.
I wish I had more photos, but sneaking around in someones yard after dark does not lend itself well to photography. So, here's the before pic - at my house. Plotting.

The operation was successful - we gnomed her good.
We now live in terror of her vengeance.
Afterwards, we went for Krispie Kreme. Because nothing says, "Hard-core hooligan vandals" like delicious fried dough.

Where's Waldo...er...TBS...

Tonight we were watching basketball when something SO RAD happened.
The commercials rolled around...one for TBS's company popped up and we saw this:

Do you see what I see!?
That's right. It's all kinds of awesome in the top left corner!
BOOYA, TBS!  Lookin' good!

Cookies...

The Boy's got some mad cooking skills. {Wait. When one utilizes the word "Mad" as a synonym for excellence, is it spelled "Maaad" or "Madd" to denote the use of slang? I dunno. Just picture me saying "mad" with crazy gangsta eyes and my arms folded way too close to my chin...and I think we'll be on the same page. Great? Great.}
He did an awesome job with these - and even mixed the frosting colors all by himself.
So proud!!

Snowed In...

We were snowed in for most of the day.
Normally this would be a HUGE pain and I'd be all frustrated and sweary...but I think we needed it today.
There wasn't much we could do - so the three of us snuggled in and watched a movie.
This was my view for hours and hours and I loved every minute of it.

Turkey For Me And Turkey For You...Let's Eat The Turkey In My Big Brown Shoe...

{A post by The Boy}
Thanksgiving was awesome! We had SO much fun and saw so many people we love!
My grandmas both cooked INCREDIBLE meals.
Seriously. The food was amazing.
They put that smug skank, Martha Stewart, to shame.

We started the day at Lunchgiving with the grandparents Supermacy...

The kids table!

My buddy, TJ and me

Grandpa and Little W. Prolly talking about bald guy stuff.

Me and Cat...

Cat and Gramps...

We had SO much fun!
 Then we came home, put on our stretchy pants and slipped quietly into food induced comas.
 When we regained consciousness it was time to go to Gran and Papas house!

First item of business: Play dinosaur cowboy while wearing the bowl helmet.

With that out of the way, I could practice some photography.
I took this photo all by myself, thankyouverymuch.

PHOTO BOMB!

 ...my uncles contribution to the meal was sparkling cider in liquor store hobo bags.
Excellent.
...pie with Grandma...

 And to finish up an awesome day: More of the cowboy dinosaur bowl helmet game....
