Saying Goodbye

Today I said "goodbye" to a sweet friend I've known most my life.

 She was one of the most beautiful, kind and talented people in the whole world.

I will miss her.

{If 2010 could stop sucking now, that would be just great. }

Ikea

Ikea has mechanical displays to show how their furniture will withstand years of wear. A machine simulates sitting by putting pressure on the chair over and over.

The boy was FASCINATED with these machines.

I parked our little cart by them and he just stared in silence studying every little part as it moved.

After about five minutes I was bored out of my mind, so I told him we need to move along. 

As we walked away he said "Mom, Ikea has time machines?!"

Holy crap, I love him.

Buzz The Potato Bug

The Boy found him in the yard and asked if he could keep him...he chose a jar and picked grass and a little rock to make his home.

He gave him a name, and shared his Cheetos.

He checks on him to make sure he's happy about 30 times a day.

Now THAT'S love.
