Rise and Shout!

We just got home from our annual Provo weekend!
The Cougs got the win against San Diego State and we had the time of our lives!
My Mom and Dad are pretty much saints and invited The Boy and his cousins for a great big sleep over so TBS and I could get away.
THANK YOU, MOM & DAD & EL JEFE & BEANS!
We are truly grateful!
Here are some photos of our favorite tradition...
One of the best parts about a BYU game is the pre-game stuff...the people, the energy, the marching band!
Little known fact about Mormons: They know how to get down with the get down.

We had tickets that were on the 50 yard line...this is good.
Then we discovered  they were on the back row. This is not so good.
We were a little bummed at first, but then we realized we could stand on the bleachers and didn't have to worry about anybody's knees behind us...there was room to stretch and for our stuff.... Seriously, I think we'll try to get seats on the back row from now on.
We've been doing the same thing at church for years.

 We stayed at the Marriott, and in the morning got some IHop before going to get The Boy {We were both REALLY missing him!}
Here is The Bourne Supremacy bringing the gangsta to Provo's pancake house..

Yikes.

TBS was mowing the lawn tonight and came across this lovely little surprise.
We have no idea where he came from. Our yard is nothing but grass and one tree...it's fully fenced so we've NEVER seen anything bigger than a spider out there.
We suspect he made his way over from a stream near by...it was obvious that he was sick, and he died not long after we found him.
Part of me feels compassion for him and wishes there was something I could have done to help this little animal.
Another part of me sees a rodent where my son plays and I want to kill it and everything it has ever loved.

So, my sweet husband is going all Carl Spackler from Caddyshack {doooodie!} to make sure we never get a visit from another little friend..Thanks, TBS. You rule.

Rain Delay...

Today we had plans. BIG plans. Zoo plans.
Then it rained.
Like, a lot.

So, we went with plan B - which began the afternoon with a trip to the toy store to play with items we had absolutely no intention of purchasing...

When we came home, we opened up the windows to let the rainy cool air in - and we snuggled up in a big blanket to watch a cartoon...

Then we spent the rest of the afternoon playing outside...
Thank heavens for a rainy day!  (:

For the first time, we're having some serious potty training success.
Fetch. Yes.
So proud!

When I Was A Little Boy...

We've had one heck of a week...The Boy and I needed a little fun, so tonight we had our bad-selves a camp out...
We stayed up late, ate junk food, and watched episodes of King Of The Hill {don't judge me} and when it was over - we sat in the dark and talked.
He told me lots of stories - all of them started with, "When I was a little boy..."
Hooray for campouts. (:
